Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage involves work to the upper back, shoulders, neck, upper arms, scalp and face. The client is treated in a seated position and can remain fully clothed (wearing a vest top or camisole is ideal as it allows easy access to the muscles of the neck and shoulders). This massage works on areas where stress often builds up causing tightness and leading to pain or headaches. During the massage tension is eased and muscular knots melt away, leaving you feeling relaxed and revitalised. No oils or lotions are used during this treatment.

Indian Head Massage has evolved from traditional techniques practised in India for over a thousand years but has only recently gained popularity in the west. It has its origins in the ancient system of Ayurveda, which was developed in the Himalayan region by Holy Men (Rishis).
